Flea markets & vintage shopping
Porta Portese and the best spots to hunt for vintage finds in Rome.
Porta Portese
Rome's biggest flea market runs every Sunday morning along the Tiber in Trastevere — thousands of stalls selling vintage clothing, furniture, books, records and genuinely unpredictable finds. Arrive by 8am for the best selection; it winds down by early afternoon.
Via Sannio
A smaller daily market near San Giovanni in Laterano, better for vintage clothing and army-surplus gear — less chaotic than Porta Portese and easier to browse.
Borghetto Flaminio
A curated Sunday antiques market inside a former sports facility near Piazza del Popolo — smaller and more expensive than Porta Portese, but better quality control.
