June is the best month of summer in Rome — temperatures of 22–28°C, long daylight hours, and crowds that are busy but not yet at the suffocating peak of July and August. The first two weeks of June in particular offer a quality of experience that late July simply can't match.

June evenings in Rome are among the year's best — warm enough to eat outside until midnight, cool enough to be comfortable. The city's rooftop bars and piazza restaurants come into their own this month.
