What 'Centro Storico' actually covers

The term technically refers to the entire area within the ancient Aurelian Walls, but in everyday use Romans mean the dense tangle of streets between the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori and the Tiber — Rome's oldest continuously inhabited urban fabric, largely untouched by 19th and 20th century redevelopment.
